My favorites are Mississippi Queen and Enter Sandman.

Might want to forget the acronym here: 'Best Song on Rock Band?" vs. "Best Song on RB".

Mine change all the time. And assuming we can include RB2 or DLC stuff, some of my current favorite songs (note: I mainly only play with the drums):

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way

Boston - Hitch a Ride

Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know (yes, I just said this)

The Who - Who Are You

Cool RB 2 favs

My Favs are:

1) E-pro
2) Man in the box
3) Today

There are a ton of cool songs in RB 2 that I just had to buy from the itunes store and add them to my ipod. Too bad that they wouldn't let you do that with the RB music store. I mean you're still paying for the song so you should be able to at least copy the music to a pc/mac.

I don't have favorites. Too much good music, and variety is the spice of life. I'll happily play anything from Metallica to Dixie Chicks to Jimmy Buffet.

"...And Justice For All" by Metallica is always the only 100% guarantee for my enjoyment.

There are plenty of other amazing songs, but I find that they all cater to certain moods. "...And Justice For All" is my goto song!

I play pretty much everything but have a bit of a soft spot for today by the Smashing Pumkins and Chop Suey by SOAD. I notices that nobody's listing tracks from the AC/DC pack. I've been tossing around the idea of picking this up ... is it worth it? I do like AC/DC but was wondering if the songs are fun to play.

I personally don't care for it, I had someone come over with it to play, but im not a bid acdc fan to begin with, They are mostly if not all live tracks i believe so they are longer than normal which is kind of cool, I would say if you like ac/dc then get it but if your not a big fan then dont

Just about everything mentioned above is awesome (there just aren't many bad songs in this game), but my mood lately has brought me to the Silversun Pickups tracks...I've downloaded Melatonin and Well Though-Out Twinkles to go along with the disc-based Lazy Eye, and that's a pretty solid 3-song setlist for me on just about any instrument.

Petra's right, though...And Justice For All is totally a go-to song.

I sat down and played all 18 songs as one setlist the night I bought the pack and it was a lot of fun. They are interesting because something like 15 of the songs have a MASSIVE ROCK ENDING section on them due to the live nature of the original recordings. And I don't think you understand what I mean. A few of the Rock Endings yielded me 50,000+ points on a solo instrument performance!!! Ya, like 30 seconds or more of just Rock Ending can be quite tiring when you are playing all of these songs in one sitting.

Just as an OT aside you know you really don't have to smack the hell out of your instruments during Big Rock Endings (BREs).

Drums: Any drum pad or bass pedal hit will suffice. As long as you hit ANY pad at least once every 1.5 seconds, you'll get full credit for the BRE. Just make sure you hit any pad as early into the BRE as you can, and then one as late as you can if you want to squeeze out a few extra points.

Guitar/Bass: Each of the five fret buttons must be strummed (or the solo frets pressed) at least once every 1.5 seconds to get full credit. Under no circumstances should you continuously strum a single fret, as you will be sacrificing points.
