Default Need some help from the experts!!! 60 vs 120..

Hey all... Going to buying a new TV pretty quick... and am curious how much of a diff is there between the SONY KDL52S4100 VS the SONY KDL52W4100? I know the W series is 120Hz... and from what I could tell that was the main diff... now will the 60 still have the odd ghost effect with it and the 120 basically eliminates any kind of ghosting?

I mean is it worth the extra $1000???

Cheers in advance!!!!

HAHAHAHA! Thats what Im "told" by my wife we have to wait for But I figure if I can convince her now... then yeah....

Basically is the 120Hz worth the extra $1000? Or is based on personal use? Ive hear alot of people say they cant see the diff vs. a 60Hz???

I for one dont see that much of a difference between 60hz and 120hz and I just got back from Circut City and saw a side by side comparison. I will stick with my Sony 46V4100 which is 60hz. I think it comes down to personal preference.

hey bud! i would really think about what you will be using your display for? movies? gaming? sports? all of the above?

I'm not too familiar with the sony displays but i can guarantee that you would love the Sammy 6.7.8 and 9 series ...9 series are LED and about $5000.00...i personally own the 650 series 4ms response and 120hz ...i love it...i game alot and it makes a huge differnce..no ghosting etc...

46 vs 52.....go 52' in a year or two you'll want to upgrade again and wish you had gone with the larger display.... in this case size does matter my friend...!

After looking at the HD's at Best Buy today I know I am thinking now of going to the Sony 52inch as well no matter if its 60 or 120hz.

Go for at least the 52v or 52w, the S series is lacking the bravia engine (helps with upscaling and rendering) and has 60hz but without the motionflow chip. The S is also missing the advanced contrast enhancer (black levels). Do yourself a favor and get the V or W, you will be happy you did!

buy the 52 inch 750 or 850 samsung series, with the 120hz. And it's prolly less than what you would pay for the overpriced Sonys.

I got the 46W a month ago and could not be any happier!

120hz all the way! Might want to turn off the motion enhancer for certain movies... sometimes it bugs me a bit.

But that was the big question as well, 60 or 120, after I did some research online for a while and did several in stock comparisons I settled for that one.

It used to bug me a bit at first too, now i cant watch anything unless i set the 120HZ to high...friends come over and they are like...WOW... "im like it's 120HZ baby"....lol it does seem strange at first...it almost looks 3D in some movies...it feels like it was filmed with a camcorder other times becuase it's so smooth...
