James Bond Blu-Ray Question

Hey everyone!

I'm new here so sorry if this isn't in the right place

I am a big 007 fan and am looking to purchase Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of the 007 Blu-Ray collection (not at once, maybe one today and 1 next month or something...) but am hesitant because I am worried that only these 2 sets will be released and then another "Collection" will be released with a different order so I will have to rebuy movies i already own.

Does anyone know if Fox/MGM plans on releasing Volume 3 or 4 or if it will just be these 2.

Im worried because I bought the Volume 3 "Gift Pack" on DVD and 4 months later, the set became obsolete due to the Ultimate Collection...

I think the next Volumes (3 & 4) will be released in March along with the release of Quantum Of Solace.

Don't take my word on it though.

i ended up getting Dark Knight and Tropic Thunder instead

i can always get the Bond set after if they release it all in a bundle for like $250 or something...

I don't think we've seen the end of James Bond yet. So no matter when you buy them, you'll never have the ultimate bundle you know?

lol i know that

i have 1 part of a VHS set and 1 part of a DVD set (i bought Vol. 3 of the "Gift Set") and the next month they came out with the Ultimate Edition Set or w/e and im like "screw it"

so as long as i get Dr. No all the way through Quantum of Solace on BD im happy, i wont bother rebuying after that! i just want every movie, i dont care how good it looks 20 years from now

I hope they release the next ones as steelbooks to best buy like the last 6, otherwise I'd be kind of upset, but anyway, I buy them in the individual cases, those 'gift sets' are annoying

the DVD gift set was in individual cases, but i know what you mean, the cardboard boxes get bent and ripped and stuff too easily

exactly! sort of the same issue i have with slipcovers, the corners get bent then they look really bad. btw welcome to the forum!

i guess thats what everyone says about their first BD, but now my entire DVD collection will look like CRAP! LOL!

I am going to agree, I just did a pretty extensive search on google for some info and came up short, hopefully they will announce something soon

we watched Dr No and From Russia with Love over christmas on blu and would really like to watch the rest in sequence of release... might hold off until March to watch goldfinger... but then would have to wait for you only live twice .... ah well might just watch them anyway.. i know the sequnce doesnt make that much difference but it was facinating to see how the series developed from dr no to from russia with love...

one more question

after these 2 3-Packs, thats 12 Bond movies in Blu-Ray, then if they keep coming out with em after 3 more (7 volumes) it will be 21 discs so im assuming casino royale will be included? if so ill hold off on it...

will they also release 1 4-Pack with QoS or will you have to buy that separately

the reason im asking (obviously no one has any official answers, but a lot of people have heard rumors) is because my birthday is in 16 days (Jan 22) and people are asking what I want

Ask for the Bourne Triology even though that isn't due out til the 27th

i actually haven't watched a single Bourne movie, and im not sure its something id be interested in... lol

i sent an email to FOX and heres there reply:
We only have what is released at this time, we do not have a release
date for any other releases at this time. You may check back in the near
future.

sounds like a generic "we cant tell you anything" reply that you get whenever you ask about a release date
