Why hasn't this been released yet??? I know it wasn't a big hit, but far more crappier Cage movies have blu ray releases. Is Paramount just lazy? Do they not care?

I have no Idea. As you can tell from my avatar it’s one of my all time favorite movies. Drives me nuts to see the stuff that is getting released, and re-released, ahead of this pretty great film.

One of my favorite movies too and I don't even like Nicholas Cage all that much. Blows my mind that so many mediocre movies are remastered to blu ray and this is not.

Not asking for a 2k or 4k scan of the original negatives, at this point, i'd be happy with a crummy upscaled dvd. Just release this movie ! ! !

Seriously. I don't generally like Cage either, but this role was so perfect for him. And it's just a massively underrated dark comedy. I even emailed them about it asking for a release, and they didn't even acknowledge the request.

Seeing how Paramount are starting to release films on blu themselves, I'm hoping this comes sooner rather than later. It's great that Verbinski's Mouse Hunt got a release, not it's time for The Weather Man (and The Mexican too if they're releasing whatever they want).

I would love a BD with the milkshake artwork of Cage. Since Paramount has been releasing stuff not previously on BD maybe they will get to this one.

I’d love to see if there are any deleted scenes, like when he’s in the food court and has the revelation that he is fast food, and you see everything that’s ever been chucked at him.

I somehow get the feeling local weather men don’t embrace this movie the way hockey players embrace Slapstick. There’s a funny conspiracy theory for you: The American Meteorological Society is paying for it not to be released on Blu-ray and for it to be forgotten. Haha.
