The recalled versions had a song in the game containing some lyrics which were lines from the Qu'ran. Because of this, Sony stopped the game from being released, edited the lines out of the song, and made new copies of the game.

There's no point in buying the recalled version if you plan on playing the game, because before you can even play the game online (which is a big part of the game) you'd have to install the updates, which will patch the offending song in question.

So the only reason why anyone would buy it for so much, I guess, is that they expect it to be worth money in the future, as some sort of collector's item. But since they are sending you only the disc, without the case/artwork, etc., it seems like crap.

ohh I remember hearing that. I would never pay more that 60 dollars for a game in the first place. WOW people are always trying to make a few extra bucks.

muslums get offened very easily; like most people. and in fact a group of muslums spoke out against the recall saying it violated freedom of speech. so it was a lose lose thing.

Guess that means you won't be paying $250 to $400 for Marvel vs. Capcom 2? If you wanted it.
