PETER RABBIT™
On Digital April 20
On 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ & DVD May 1

Bonus Features Include an Original Mini Movie Featuring Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail!

Exclusive to the Blu-ray and Digital releases of PETER RABBIT ™ is “Flopsy Turvy” – an all-new original mini movie featuring Peter’s precocious sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail, narrated by Margot Robbie as Flopsy. When Flospy sets out to prove that anything her sisters can do, she can do better, she soon learns that when times get tough, sisters come together. With the Digital, Blu-ray and DVD releases, fans can watch “Mischief in the Making” – a special peek behind-the-scenes with the cast, director and animators as they discuss bringing these beloved and modern characters to life. The entire family can also dance along to the film’s theme song “I Promise You” sung by James Corden, in the featurette “Shake Your Cotton-tail.”

Synopsis:
Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own cute, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden, with playful spirit and wild charm, voices the character of Peter, alongside Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki and Daisy Ridley voicing the roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail.

Anybody pick up the Target exclusive for this? Wondering what is on the bonus disc; is it just a feature on how to plant your carrot seeds or does it actually have some decent bonus features on it?

I was wondering the same thing. I don't really need a feature telling me about growing carrots.

And, to my surprise, it’s a Blu-ray rather than a DVD. It was in an an envelope between the case and slipcover.

Just watched it, and thought that it was more charming than it had any right to be. Will likely pick this one up when it goes on sale.

Also the much ballyhooed blackberry allergy scene barely registered with me as offensive, considering prior things like heart attacks, electrocution, rabbit traps to the hands and butt, rakes to the face, and falling off of high ledges are played for laughs.

Not a must have by any means. Combines some gardening tips with some movie trivia, etc.

The carrot seeds are great though! My kid will probably ask for a real rabbit, so I will distract him with carrot planting)))

I just watched PETER RABBIT too, and was surprised to find it better than I expected; an all around fun movie to watch.

Well there is another stop on the trail of classic rabbit adventures you could make; WATERSHIP DOWN. You could read the book together (or listen to the audiobook), it was adapted into a movie in 1978 but I'm not sure what was cut from the book though. There is some fighting that maybe on the intense side in the books and there are plenty of clips of the movie online if you want an idea of what to expect. And of course some of the rabbits die in the course of the story. The book has some rabbit legend/mythology sections featuring rabbit folk hero El-ahrairah that I expect are largely absent in the animated movie (and would make for a great movie in their own right).

Just went searching, looks like Netflix and BBC are doing a new co-produced mini-series of Watership Down, not sure when it will be available though.

just finished watching this as a family and we all enjoyed it. I thought it was going to be dreadful from the trailers, but I found it hillarious with a great cast. Glad the kids really wanted this or I wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise.

Saw this the other day, pretty much what I expected. Not bad but not something I'd want to see again. I was surprised at how violent and cavalier it was about death to, you know, be a KIDS MOVIE.
