Which wasn't deserving at all but that's also pretty descriptive of anyone in the Best Actor category whose names aren't Daniel Day-Lewis or Timothée Chalamet this year.

lol people thought this was gonna be one of those can't-miss movies of 2017, and now we're wondering why the studio's even bothering with a BD release...

well I could have gone one further and stated: BD? Sony could have easily relegated this to BD-R 'on demand'

I actually saw this in the theatre and it's in my top movies for 2017 for sure. The trailers are misleading. Denzel is great in it and it's a great character study. Very well written and very well done.

It's an unpopular Sony title, so it should be part of some deal in the Best Buy SaveStation within a few months.

That is a HORRIFYING cover. I'm not surprised, but how can ANYONE, let alone someone getting paid to do so, choose THAT over the poster?

As for his nomination, I think it's well-deserved: give Chalamet all the credit in the world for being so natural and subtle, etc., but it takes real skill and raw talent to pull of what Denzel pulls off.

Ditto Oldman, really.

i think the poster looks better, but it doesnt show Denzel's face. i think the cover they used gets more people to rent/buy it.

I rented it at redbox then end up buying it at Best Buy , had to see it again such an unusual character he was

I still have no idea what this movie is about.

The 2000 commercials for it I saw on television provided nothing that even resembled a story.

...just Denzel Washington with a funny haircut.
