It appears that the AU version has very mild DNR compared to the Koch release. It is good that there is now this option to compare the AU release with.

What's the deal with the different title screen on the Koch? Is there a history of different title screen for this movie? What's on the Australian blu?

The plain text title at 0:16, and the graphic at 2:38. I think Gary's memory is being faulty in this case, rather than the master Koch have used.

Hmmm. How can DVD-Beaver review a Blu-ray if he obviously hasn't even seen the movie? Otherwise he should be treated for short time memory problems.

I'm assuming it's sold out. As I posted above, all stock was shipped to retailers before the end of February. It looks like copies may still be available at some stores, like jpc.de (who will ship internationally):

I'm still holding out for a much needed remastered version... it sucks to not be able to see it in the meantime, but it will make the experience once I do, so much more worthwhile.

Think I’ll pick this one up since I don’t see a better release coming anytime soon (isn’t it in some weird rights nightmare) and the Australian release is honestly too vanilla for me. :thinking emoji:

No rights issues -- just Paramount owns US distribution and we know what kind of bleep they give about catalog releases.
