Whats your budget?
How many speakers do you have in your set-up?
Do want an amp to power all of your speakers or just your fronts or fronts and center?
Do you plan on bi-amping any of your speakers?

my budget sadly is around $1500. which prob wont get me much being that it seems amps cost a lot.
right now i just have fronts, center, and sub. eventually ill be doing a7.1 setup. so maybe a amp thatll power my fronts, sub, and sides, or is that too much? ill leave out the rears.
also im not too familiar with bi-amping so im not really sure. sorry.

Emotiva XPA-5 would be a good start. Then down the road when you get the two rear speakers you can either connect them to your receiver or get a Emotiva XPA-2 to power your front left and right and connect the rears to the xpa-5.

Emotiva thread

Why do you want an amp? You have a receiver.

If you really want an AMP, I recommend checking out Rotel. They have some Class D amps that are very affordable.

for the money your looking to spend i'd go with the rotel rmb-1095.they have a new line of amps out now but this is a highly rated amp. it's only a 5 channel amp but if you upgrade down the line you could buy a rotel 2 channel amp later.i use this amp with my klipsch reference series speakers and they do a great job. hope this helps

I agree with pyleboy. The 1095 is around $1,200US retail. This is a 100 watt X 5 channel amp. They just released a similar amp that is 200 watts X 5 channels if you want more power. I am not sure of the price for the new amp however.

The 1095 is 200 watts x 5 and retails for $2000. I think you meant the 1075 which is 120 watts x 5???

That budget is plenty to get a nice amp, used or new. I think the emotiva would fit your purpose nicely, but I would also recommend looking at www.audiogon.com for some high quality used amps. You can get a darn good used amp in that budget. For example, http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls....8739&/ATI-2505

If that's a brand new price it's great considering it usually sells for $1250 used at Audiogon.

If you are on a tight budget, Emotiva cannot be beat. If you want to spend more, I can recommend a $350,000 amplifier.

I stand corrected, it is a monoblock; so he would need 5.
