Only realistic idea is to do stickerbooks and spray a clear coat over them...

Wait just a minute, he does custom steels for only 40 pounds + 10 for shipping? That's it?

What are the chances of making a custom Suspiria steelbook using similar graphic as Cult Films? Popular title.

Oh, my God!!!

My wallet is beginning to run. Hahaha...

A couple of questions:
1. The steelbook is really printed, it is not a sticker put on the metal?
2. Mate of glossy finish?

And last:
could you post some detailed photos of that steelbook?

Thanks in advance!!!

Oh my God. I have like, 4 designs in mind. At least. I'll have to give this some thought.

Now I know I'm nowhere near the only one who got one of these... you can check out reddit for other examples.

1. It's printed indeed, marvelsthecollector has a flatbed printer from what I know. However you'll be able to see the layer of ink, so it's not perfectly seamless. He recommends dark artwork (the default "donor" steelbook is black), or you can send in a cheap donor steel that can blend with whatever art you want.
2. I think the default is matte. I got what was referred to as a "textured" finish, which you'll be able to see in the pics below. Last year he said he was trying to work out gloss. The print is high-quality though, nothing like cheap, dull matte commercial steels.

The inside is custom as how it's typically done (printed photos between the disc holder and steel).

big pics in spoilers

Only if it's relevant. Tomb Raider is not one of those.

And besides, I'm more of a buns man.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on making separate Tomb Raider steelbooks. I just need to resize the images and submit. I just don't know if this series is worth 80 GBP...

I think this thread is started when forumers, in total dismay, saw their favourite movies destroyed in mediocre steelbook arts:
