Where can I buy 77 SUNSET STRIP tv series?

Where can I buy 77 SUNSET STRIP tv series? I am looking for all of the seasons, hopefully original studio versions.

Nowhere legally.

Not on DVD, don't think WB has it up for streaming on their site anymore, don't think it's streaming anywhere else.

A few nights ago I revisited an episode I hadn't seen in probably 40+ years and yet it remained in my memory all these years due to how unique it was. The episode was Reserved For Mr. Bailey. I was so happy to see it again and that it still held up well. This was on MEtv, which shows the series, but it's not ideal since it comes on at 4am but it was worth waking up early for.

Unfortunately, the series is not available on home video, legally. I did some checking, and there was a news article from 2010 at Deadline that reported that Warner Brothers had plans to release it on home video but that no other information is available on it.

This is a great show that deserves an official release. I assumed the problem was music issues.

I've really enjoyed discovering it on METV over the last year. It had a formula, but was flexible enough to play around with spy stories, international stories, etc. You can always tell when Roger Smith had a hand in the script. His were the most experimental.

Thanks for the tip. My wife mentioned MEtv, and they do have selected oldies at their website (which I can pull up on my Smartv definition) - but most of their better ones are, like you say, "live" at odd times.

I wonder if there is a newer type DVR that can be set to record (for personal use) at that 4am broadcast??

I never would have guessed . . . music issues. But as I remember growing up, it was tied into Kookie, Let me you Comb . . . or something that he did for a record deal. The actual 77 theme sounds so much like a Quinn Martin group.

Then again, I jumped on the other WB Series (The Untouchables) when everything came out on DVD. With the 4K upscaling from a DVD - it looks great.

Looks like 77 Sunset Strip was CANCELLED again. MeTV replaced it with Barnaby Jones, as bad as the lead-in, Cannon.

Update: Volume 1 will be released in March 2021. -> in GERMANY
3 DVDs with 17 Episodes.

When I saw this on here last week, I had my doubts it was a legit release (despite the label Pidax being a genuine label). From what I've read in the past, music rights are, or can be, different in Germany compared to the States. But it makes me wonder how Pidax have managed to do this, when I get the impression that Warner Brothers/the Warner Archive Collection aren't able to do season sets of 77 Sunset Strip (if they did releases, some episodes would apparently have to be left out because of music clearance issues).

One problem with the most classic series from that time: like "Bronco", "The Ghost & Mrs. Muir", "Follow the Sun" - the german tv channels never bought all episodes and dubbed it.

As on wikipedia written: Von den zwischen 1958 und 1964 produzierten 206 Folgen kamen 61 in synchronisierter Fassung ins Deutsche Fernsehen.

translated: of 206 episodes only 61 of em got dubbed and aired on german TV.

That's why the Set is called VOLUME instead of Season. and I suppose because those episode were not released yet in the USA/UK we also don't get a english track.

Well, at least: we're getting now 17 episodes - and im more than happy

I was able to strip the German audio and insert english audio. Turned out great. The only downside was that some scenes were edited. Not sure why edited scenes would have been done for a german audience. I have a large library of hard to find classic tv shows and cartoons if anyone is interested via plex
