I don't think this was ever announced for either format. It was even used in those little Paramount promo's from back in the day that were on both formats.

I personaly would love to see it on Blu-ray though. Thought it was a lot of fun and Thomas Newman's score is really good.

I think there are going to be some sort of new releases/special edition of the books, so hopefully that will create a little hype and help get the movie to Blu soon.
