Too bad they've got Kostner holding the badge instead of the revolver otherwise not a bad looking Steel.

Partly why I see no reason to get this since I have the play.com steelbook which I think looks better since I do not like the red background on this one.

Awful. Why red? Stupid badge instead of a gun, when almost every action movie in hollywood features the lead actor holding a gun as it's poster and when Garcia is shown beneath him wielding a shotgun!

And the original black poster with Capone's looming image behind Ness is so superior!! They do this deliberately.

I agree about the gun, but maybe they changed it cause they felt it fit better with the way Ness' character was portrayed in the movie?
Still, not impressed by the steelbook at all.

It makes sense they'd use the badge. I agree the red color is awful.

Possibly, but the fact remains that the original cover art in '87 featured Ness holding a gun, and don't forget Malone's arc throughout the movie is about Gun's 'Can't you talk with a Gun in your mouth?' 'He pulls a knife, you pull a gun' 'he brings a knife to a gun fight' etc etc, Ness holding the Gun makes more sense in how he develops during the movie, shooting Frank Nitti in cold blood in revenge.
