Germany Event Horizon - Remastered Edition

Quote:
Event Horizon - 2-Disc Remastered Collector's Edition (Event Horizon, Regie: Paul W.S.

This is going to be the long lost fully uncut version? If so then I am interested!

Doesn't seem so. It's more likely the slightly corrected version regarding the aspect ratio, because the previous BD is squeezed.

I don't own it at all so if this has a correct aspect ratio I may go for it still.

If the lost footage was found, I'm sure they would have mentioned it in the press release. That'd be huge. Fixing the stretching is the big issue for me. And the cost. I don't like the movie enough to pay limited edition pricing, but if a standard edition comes out, I might grab it.

Remastered? Does that mean they switched that weird picture thing where it's stretched or whatever?

Yeah, that’s supposed to be corrected.

I really like the film and would upgrade "if" PQ/AQ is at least a notch higher (since new transfer) and/or the extras is new/exclusive.

How will this be available? It's limited, so will this be on Amazon?

My German's rather rusty lately, but perusing the forum that the OP linked I don't even think the Germans know where to order these yet. Doubt it'll be on Amazon.

I wonder if the US will have a good distributor for this. Seems like a solid fit for Arrow or Scream Factory.

EDIT:
Looks like I was proven wrong.

It's a FSK 16 title so it probably will be listed on Amazon.de as well.

Upon reading the label '84 I would advise to await screengrabs to compare to existing transfer/releases. Seriously!

Around $45 US with shipping if it's €30. Too much for me sadly. I'd love to own it since I refused to buy the US release due to the aspect ratio issue, but $45 is just too much, considering any new extras will likely be in German, including the booklet, so I wouldn't even be able to read it. I hope Arrow or somebody gets this remaster.

Which cover did you go for out of curiosity. I wish they went with the version of the US poster art without the floating heads. The German poster art is odd but kinda cool and something different.

30 Euros? I don't think so! Guess I'll keep my DVD Special Collector's edition.

Oh, what's up with the time difference here? DVD is cut or something?

Runtime BD: ca. 96 Min. (uncut)
Runtime DVD: ca. 92 Min. (uncut)

BD = NTSC speed
DVD = PAL speed (-4%)
