I just recently found out about this and watched the short from which its being made and it definitely is a different premise but i think it has great potential.

It's directed by Shane Acker who also did the short and will be Produced by Tim Burton.

i recommend finding and watching the short also though. They are quite good.

Looks interesting. Coheed and Cambria as a soundtrack makes it seem cool, somehow.

Excited but aggravated too because it's still a long time before this one hits the big screens.

Could be good, but it looks a little too Tim Burtony for me. I haven't liked one of his movies in years.

I didn't see 9 in theaters, but finally did watch it on disc years ago and like the visual style and darker theme to the story/world/characters. It was a change of pace back then from many other CGI animated films IMO.

Reminds me slightly of Dark Crystal, Matrix. I should rewatch it as it's been many years.
