Since it looks like we're getting the first two Avengers films alongside Avengers: Infinity War's home release, I would hazard a guess that we'll get Rogue One alongside Solo's home release and possibly The Force Awakens as well, since it's the only other Star Wars film with Han Solo in that Disney currently owns the distribution rights to (the Fox deal won't go through until next year). Don't take that as gospel however, it is just a guess. There may be some rumours around the time of Solo's theatrical release.

ridiculous stuff like this was done in real 4k and they have it all set
same goes for Lawrence of Arabia, Sound of Music, etc. but they won't freaking release any of them all they do it is go nuts about adding 10 layers of new obnoxious DRM, but heaven forbid they actually release stuff for people to you know actually buy |

I think The Force Awakens and Rogue One next year are a safe bet so that Disney can have all their original Star Wars releases on the market in UHD for the Ep. 9 release, and a sequel trilogy boxed set in 2020. I'd be surprised to see anything else though. It would be an odd choice to re-release the original trilogy sans A New Hope, and I don't think it would go over well with fans if they released the prequel trilogy before the original trilogy. Honesty, whether he meant to say Ep. 10 or not, that's probably closer to being accurate. I sure would like to be wrong, though. |

I've seen conflicting reports of the CG shots in Rogue One being either rendered at 2K or rendered using the same method as for The Last Jedi (with the renderer writing under-square pixels that are then de-anamorphosed along with the anamorphic camera footage, producing final shots of ~3K resolution).
Does anybody know fo' sho? Like... really fo' sho? |

All that is known is that as soon as the ink dried on the Lucasfilm purchase, Disney carried out 4K scans and digital clean-up on the 35mm assets from the original trilogy that were contained in the Lucasfilm archives, to create new digital assets for future use. That could mean anything from a re-release of the original films to a new and improved "Special Edition" theatrical release or simply incorporating footage into future productions as Rogue One did, but Disney is completely mum on any activity with the Lucas films. According to Lucasfilm, the Special Edition trims that Lucas cut from the films for his all-digital revision of the original trilogy are still in their possession, whatever that means.
