Which of these Blus should I get? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey,

I'm on the Amazon, buy 2, get 1 free.

Here are my options:

3:10 to Yuma - own on SD
Usual Suspects - own on SD
Sleepy Hollow - own on SD
The Descent - own on SD
Disturbia - seen once on SD, liked it
The Fugitive - seen on SD, liked it
The Shining - never seen it
The Searchers - never seen it
Daredevil - own on SD
I Am Legend - saw in theaters, liked it, except for ending

So I need to choose 3. I'm looking mostly for top-notch PQ. Thanks.

Sleepy Hollow - own on SD (the picture is what it should be but won't blow you away)
I Am Legend - saw in theaters, liked it, except for ending (demo material and the alternate ending actually makes sense)

Don't know about the rest

THE SHINING is incredible on Blu and A MUST OWN!!
The Searchers and The Fugitive!!

If you've never seen The Shining, it is a must see. It is one of the best horror/thrillers ever made. It's also Jack at his best.

I am only putting my 2 cents worth in on one movie 3:10 to Yuma. It is in a nutshell a solid 4.7 to 5.0 all around, but the reason I like it and have aside from the movie itself is the 7.1 pcm sound track. It is a winner!!!

The Fugitive is probably the best movie on that list, apparently the Blu Ray was really bad, so I would rent it.

I did not really like 3 10 to Uma but apparently it has good if not great PQ and absolutly killer AQ.

Disturbia was quite good, I remember it looking really quite nice, and despite not being lossless it has a DTS track at 1.5mbps.

I recommend 3:10 to Yuma and I Am Legend. Disturbia is a good movie but it does not include the lossless audio.
