Not a single Warner Bros. title on either format has a main menu screen. They all start the film right away. I talk from experience. I've reviewed over 70 Blu-ray titles and all of the Warner titles I have only have the menu bar during playback.

Default Main Menu

My copy of Blazing Saddles definitely has a main menu, it just doesn't start with it. It goes directly to the movie but if I choose "top menu" on my PS3, it will go to the main menu.

I would suspect other titles are similar.

Superman Returns has a main menu (movies backgrounds while options are available for selection). But the movie starts when you pop in the disc.

Warner doesn't seem to concentrate much on fancy menus.

The 300 main menu is definately lacking. But this is normal for Warner.

I love the lack of "menu" on 300. If you think about it, it could be like Disney where you get, "coming soon", 5+ trailers, an "illegal to copy" promo, and a talking skeleton. Although, I do like the skeleton myself; I just prefer to have the movie start right away. No frills for me, just a good flick with 2 tracks of lossless audio. Woo-Hoo!

Best picture I've ever seen.

Exactly.. all I want to be able to do is stick the film in the drive and sit back and watch.. hell we could do that with VHS for god sakes so why must we be made to go thorough a miriad of options all the time just to get the film to play. Warner have the right idea... no doubt about it, even if they do suck for giving us inferior crap ported from HD DVD all the time. Also, I don't mind being forced to watch the Illegal copy warning etc at the end of the film.. but it bugs the hell outta me when you can't skip it at the start. It's things like this that actually get people copying films to start with if they know they can edit out or skip those damn warnings.

Man that picture in your sig is just freaking awesome... Wish I'd come up with that one..

They almost exclusivly do not do "Main Menus".That's not a main menu. That's the Special features stand alone menu. The only WHV BD main menu I have seen is The Prestige.

Also no main menu on "Superman Returns" either. Same as above.

I actually love the movie going straight to the film, no waiting for 5 minutes sitting through previews.

Yes, my copy started the movie as soon as I put it in, no menu popped up or anything.

I do like how it goes to the movie, but I like the menu in Hellboy. The menus are not like the ones on DVDs where they animate and make noise and then stop..... reset.. and start over. No, they are smooth and have an unbroken transition.
But it is nice to not see all those ads first.

btw.. is Blazing Saddles PQ any good? It's an older film so I was just wondering how it looks.
