The been charging 99p for delivery a little while now for regular items. Steelbooks they exclude with a discount code automatically applied but when the solo steelbooks were setup they not made the discount delivery live but at around 3am it was.

As soon as they started charging the 99p I now go to amazon and HMV. Zavvi stopped getting my sale on items as soon as they put that charge it.

Ordered 3D steelbook.

I expected just an OK movie, and that's what I got. It's definitely the weakest movie since Revenge of the Sith.
[Show spoiler]Kessel Run
sequence was cool, however, and the production and costume design in general was decent - and still way better than the prequels. The actors themselves delivered, but the script was lacking, and sometimes minor characters seemed to belong more in a TV show episode. Looking forward to rewatch anyways. The last hour is well over decent.

zavvi will refund the delivery charge, I got onto customer service and they refunded it / put credit on for previous orders. However I am so annoyed to find that all my steelbook pre orders - black panther 3D/4K, Ready player One 3D ect can not get an address adjustment as they can not do something so simple, I have moved out of property where I pre ordered these two and they are all sold out

If they're single title orders then they'll be delivered via Royal Mail - that being the case, you could just pay for mail forwarding for 6 months or however long it is.

Zavvi's customer service, and what they can and can't do, is a joke.

Saw this tonight at an 8pm showing. There were only about 40 people in there, probably not a great sign for any movie let alone one under the Star Wars banner.

agreed slow to start upto when han meets chewie it gets going and entertaining
best bet go in not expecting anything/open minded and you will be pleasantly surprised.
no spoilers from me either

also i went to 2pm showing on friday only 6 people in an imax
think there is a bit of a backlash from the last jedi but people are missing out here.
but also think they would have been better putting this on near christmas as people where used to a christmas slot for a star wars film.

i also see estimated release date is september for this

Had no desire to see this but i went out of loyalty to the star wars brand and was pleasantly surprised. Sure it was safe and full of fan service, but it was warranted and i really enjoyed it. Glad to get my order in for the 3d steel.

My cinema was also quite empty. quite a pity, i much preferred this to rogue one...felt more like star wars to me.

I am still unsure if I'll keep the order. Preordered it before seeing the movie in the theatre. And I was really keen on liking it. However, as for now, I feel the movie has zero rewatchability for me.

Except that these small films from the Star Wars saga were all released on Memorial Day weekend:

STAR WARS
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
THE RETURN OF THE JEDI

and also

STAR WARS EPISODE ONE
STAR WARS EPISODE TWO
STAR WARS EPISODE THREE

but other than those, all of the other Star Wars films were out in December.

I loved this movie and can't wait to watch it again. Sure, it's a slow start but it picks up and is a really fun ride. I was smiling throughout most of the movie and am so glad this was made (especially given out skeptical I was about the movie before seeing it).

True, the older movies were released in May, but viewing habits from 20 to 40 years ago aren't really relevant to what this year's audiences are conditioned to.

Xmas 2015; Star Wars movie
Xmas 2016; Star Wars movie
Xmas 2017; Star Wars movie

I'm sure "Solo" would have done better if held back until Xmas this year. Not only because of fitting established viewing patterns, but being far removed from strong competition and only contending with "Aquaman" would have made for a much easier ride!

I got burned by Zavvi on my first 2 orders... T2 3D and Valerian 3D which were stated in description as being Region Free! When I finally received them they were Region B. I emailed them and asked about Region Free versions they told me just send them back for refund. Never buy from them again! So I buy from Rahul now.

You just have to pay attention to the studio that's releasing it. Lionsgate and Studio Canal are not really known for having Region Free titles. Even Amazon doesn't get their listings right either especially during the pre-order phase.

Never trust region information from retailers. Even amazon ****s this up.

I understand where you're coming from, but there's nothing to worry about with Disney films. Region-free across the board these days until something changes.

Anyone else think that this poster would be a lot better than the Best Buy cover?
