I honestly don't remember, but it was probably a Disney film on VHS since I grew up in the '80s. I do recall my first movie in theaters being Oliver & Company, and my first live-action theatrical film being Back to the Future, Part II. My aunt recorded the first one off a special NBC telecast, and I wore it out like crazy re-watching it after school. A few other films I remember seeing on VHS as a kid included Short Circuit, Cocoon, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

In theaters: Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
First ever: An American Tale My mom kept a record in my baby book, so I know the first one I sat through was An American Tale. I was 3 when I saw Roger Rabbit. First movie I actually can vividly remember watching in theaters is Batman '89, I was 4. |

Sleeping Beauty. This was a long, long time ago and going the the cinema was a very special occaison. It was my birthday and I puked all over some poor gentleman sitting in front of me!
I remember seeing 'The 7 Voyages of Sinbad' somewhere along the way and the family saw 'A Hard Day's Night' at a drive-in (if you remember those!) My first underage sneak-in was 'Perfomance' (or maybe it was 'Women in Love'). |
