Deadwood Releases (Differences)

Noticed a few things. Disc count is 13 for North America and 9 for UK.
Runtime is 1896 min for the UK and 2140 min for the North American.

It is obvious the UK release (despite being labeled the ultimate collectors edition) is vastly inferior in content and packaging. What I specifically want to know is if there is any difference in the transfers for the episodes themselves. If the episode (and thus show entire) length is any different. Or is the primary content (Episodes, Video bitrate/quality/source/transfer, and English Audio track) identical?

I own the US set myself even though I live in the UK because any serious fan of the show would avoid the Paramount release.

There were/are multiple reports of faulty audio (sync issues) on the UK blu-ray, even after Paramount re-issued the set. Season 1: Episode 4, I believe. It's a piece of s***, hence the price tag.

and are any of the episodes different in length?

no transfer looks the same, it looks like the length difference is there is no extras in UK

I own U.S. version and it is the best packaging of all 300+ Blus I own - sturdy construction, disk pockets fit disk well, glossy pages with great photos and quotes under each photo for different characters, etc.

I haven't seen the UK set myself, but I would guess HBO provided Paramount the same masters so with the exception of encoding differences, PQ should be the same.

I used to own the Paramount DVDs (which funnily enough advertised all the special features, but contained none of them ) and didn't notice any difference in episode lengths (ignoring PAL speed up).
