I've searched for a killer whale bass thread, is there one?
Do we need one, is that something we can use? _____ Few stars ago I watched/revisited 'Godzilla' (2014) on Blu in 3D. Lol, few scenes got me couch shaking good, plus Godzilla's roar is no small peanuts compared to T-Rex in Jurassic Park. In addition, he's got a deadly atomic blue breath. Man, I don't remember another flick where something horrible as getting torched in the mouth/throat the way Godzi did here! My God, what a terrible way to perish; extinct from the throat. Anyway, there are some veracious/ferocious bass scenes in that flick. It's not like Interstellar or Blade Runner 2049, but those flicks they don't contain Godzilla and his two best friends. |

![]() ![]() If you notice this package it's what should have been from the beginning: 1. Reasonable price. 2. 4K version. 3. 3D version. 4. Digital version. 5. 1080p 2D version. 6. Dolby Vision + HDR10 7. Dolby Atmos. It's a little boy's movie with lots of CGI effects and with the type of audio soundtrack Disney would be proud to offer with Star Wars and Thor and Panther. ...Plus their 3D versions here on Hollywood boulevard, from Universal Studios. I will check out dat bass. And if Dolby Atmos is offered with the 3D BR version that'll be the day! June 19 - release date. Last edited by LordoftheRings; 06-10-2018 at 02:59 AM. |

Godzilla is easily a top 3 movie for me from a bass standpoint! This past week, I was watching the 4K recently released version of Fury, which actually caused a dedicated circuit for my room to shut down during one of the tank battles....which has never happened before. My voltage was right at 120, but my system was pulling so much juice from the various outlets, it simply couldn’t hang. The bass was incredibly quick, dynamic, and deep. The movie was also a great Atmos demo, and will find its way into rotation as a show off disc.

I watched this last night (revisited) on regular Blu:
![]() The movie itself is kid's stuff...about 50/100...some people can survive. There are some decent bass moments...couch shaking and volcano erupting...Ender's Game. * Tron: Legacy (in 3D) soon ... Last edited by LordoftheRings; 06-12-2018 at 01:06 AM. |

Flight of the Phoenix, the plane spiralling during the sand storm, reminds me of Blade Runner 2049's opening. Put that in a loop for few hours and buy new subwoofers after the melting ones you just submit to. The bigger the sub amp the better, high current ICE.
