I dunno, there was that shot of a bunch of vault dwellers each passing the power armor. Could be multiplayer still.

My educated guess: This is basically Fallout 4, but with a much larger, stripped-down world as far as civilization goes (so no Diamond City or Bunker Hill). The game will focus less on developing story content and more on having you exploring/scavenging a ton of locations, gathering settlers, and rebuilding.

To compensate for the loss of story, it'll have an optional multiplayer with a 3- or 4-player cap. Basically invite your friends in to roam the world with you and check out your settlements.

I can dig it, I loved Fallout 4's gameplay and scope, so if they focus on its strengths and continue to support 76 with more MP content post-launch (basically hard places, maybe dungeon-like Vaults to explore), and don't mess with mods, it could be awesome.

Looks like every other modern Fallout game and the trailer tells us absolutely nothing still in terms of what the game is all about. Really concerned though, reading between the lines, it is going to basically be a co op multiplayer game built around the settlement building bollocks of Fallout 4 (and that one DLC where you build your own vault).

Speaking as someone who absolutely loved the settlement-building aspects of Fallout 4 (and who, many years before FO4, modded the living crap out of Fallout 3 and New Vegas to do settlement-crafting in those games too), this one is right up my alley.

I'm hoping you can just turn other people off. The last thing I want to do is play solo but still get nuked by some try-hards.

I'm sure they'll elaborate a bit more but I'm guessing they'll be some way to keep single players separate.

I know that profits and interest is in these always online experiences with frequent updates and add ons but gaming as a whole is leaving me behind. I’m a social person but not with my video games. People online typically exhibit troll behavior and somehow are always ****ing my mother.....it’s crazy.
