Cast Away - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, looking to add to my small collection and I was wondering what you think of Cast Away on BD? I can buy it at my work for 14.99 CDN so its a pretty good price since most new ones are upwards of 39.99. Any tips would be great. Thanks.

I think it is an unbelievable transfer and the sound is awesome as well. When

that is an incredible demo material for sound. I really couldn't find much wrong with it at all to tell you the truth. Get it now I say.

One of my personal favs for sure. Amazing picture and sound on Blu-ray. You won't be disappointed in any way.

Yea, thats where I work so I will also buy it today. I first blind bought Planet of the Apes (Wahlberg) for the same price thinking it would be amazing but I was quite dissapointed.

If you watch the mountain in background, first time seeing the Island. Watching the palm line shows the edge enhancement very clearly, everywhere. This is the first movie I see it right away. The whole environment looks a bit computer generated or cartoony instead of real.

Or there was a rather strange equipment or lense in use. Gotta blame the transfer.

dont you think ?
