Not a single Warner Bros. title on either format has a main menu screen. They all start the film right away. I talk from experience. I've reviewed over 70 Blu-ray titles and all of the Warner titles I have only have the menu bar during playback.

Superman Returns has a main menu (movies backgrounds while options are available for selection). But the movie starts when you pop in the disc.
Warner doesn't seem to concentrate much on fancy menus. The 300 main menu is definately lacking. But this is normal for Warner. |

I love the lack of "menu" on 300. If you think about it, it could be like Disney where you get, "coming soon", 5+ trailers, an "illegal to copy" promo, and a talking skeleton. Although, I do like the skeleton myself; I just prefer to have the movie start right away. No frills for me, just a good flick with 2 tracks of lossless audio. Woo-Hoo!

They almost exclusivly do not do "Main Menus".That's not a main menu. That's the Special features stand alone menu. The only WHV BD main menu I have seen is The Prestige. Also no main menu on "Superman Returns" either. Same as above. |

I do like how it goes to the movie, but I like the menu in Hellboy. The menus are not like the ones on DVDs where they animate and make noise and then stop..... reset.. and start over. No, they are smooth and have an unbroken transition.
But it is nice to not see all those ads first. |
