I was actually surprised by the PQ of the movie. With the exception of a couple of scenes, which don't look as good, it looks REALLY good.

In response to the main menu vs. special features menu, I'm going to have to say it's the menu where you can navigate to get to different elements on the disc. In my book that makes it the "main menu". Even if it doesn't pop up at the start of the movie. In any event, not an issue worth discussing really, there is a menu no matter what you call it.

BTW, I agree with others that it's nice to be able to just have the movie start right away.

You'll notice that all of the options available on your "main menu" are special features. That officially makes it the "Special Features" menu. The menu bar takes the place of the "Main menu".

Well I was hoping that blu-ray was going to be like laserdisc but with a menu feature. The one thing I liked best about laserdisc was no movie trailers, no anti piracy crap, none of that stuff. I put in the movie and wham I was watching it.

My wish for all blu-ray titles would be at startup a main menu so I can choose sound options etc, and then press play. Some of the blu-ray movies especially Disney and Sony titles are very annoying in this respect. Paramount seems to be the best, they just have the one promo and then goes right to the menu. I don't like it when the movie just starts like on WB titles.

Oh well, at least the picture looks awesome.

I wish Disney films had this, I get tired of having to fast forward through all the previews at the beginning.
