Alien 30 anniversary - Blu-ray Forum

I was wondering if we would see Alien and Aliens specifically this year as Alien came out on May 25, 1979 which would be 30 years ago. I remember the 25 anniversary of Alien from Fox got a great remaster in both the video and audio department. I hope Fox would release Aliens at the same time, and that they remaster it with the same care as they did Alien on DVD.

Is there any chance of this coming out in May, if it is it would be a great late birthday present.

Digital Bits has hinted that is coming in '09. We'll just have to wait and see when the formal announcement comes.

Alien and Aliens are probably my two most wanted Blu's other than the original Star Wars trilogy. The third one is okay but nowhere near being on the same level as the first two, that said I wouldnt mind owning it at all.

While I thought the first 2 were vastly superior to the second 2 (yes, there are 4 total) I would still like to see the entire box set released.

I hope we get all 4 on Blu soon. I'm also hoping for Predator 1 (I know it's already out, but I heard the video stinks and there's no special features, so I'll wait) and 2, along with Alien vs. Predator 1 and 2 (yes, I like them). Here's hoping we get them.

AVP 1 & 2 are both already available. You can even get them in a 2-pack. I like them too.

You can get Predator 2 from Amazon.ca. Pretty decent price too, if you dont mind paying the shipping fees. I'm gonna order that one next week. Love the end.

Predator 1 & 2 and AVP 1 &2 are already available on blu-ray, but you would have to get an import version of Predator 2.

What company will be realeasing Alien and Aliens? Just so I know if it will be region locked - if so, that would almost be reason enough to buy a region A player!

I to was wondering when these movies would come out myself.
I'm about to get my own Blu Ray player soon but I have watched some movies on Blu Ray.

I hope they come out with the whole set as the alien movies are my #1 favorites.
I still remember when I first watched aliens I was 12 and loved it then I saw the first one when I went to the video store to rent the 2nd one so I grabbed both.

I'm surprised that they havent been released by now. To me those movies should have been released like a year ago or so.

Of course there are other movies to like that waiting to come out.
