I bought the region locked UK blu-ray several months back and it's still in it's shrink wrap. Nuts. I guess I'll be double dipping.

That's why I was going to go with the DE release. It has English subs while the UK disc does not.

Actually did that dance at my sister's wedding with other members of the wedding party in tuxedoes. My sister thought we were bluffing and wouldn't do it so she had the DJ announce it so we called her bluff and it was fun.

. We did it to The Pointer Sisters song Jump. Would have loved to have the music from the movie but no such luck.

AWESOME, now i can retire my old DVD and get this BD.

Sounds nice! i really enjoyed it since i was 6 when i saw it in theaters and been one of my fave comedies.

I should've said "unavailable on region free disc", because I've got those Aussie releases of Splash and Turner and Hooch. And IIRC, that UK Dragnet release and the recent German release of Volunteers are both locked, aren't they?

The region free free release of Splash is just about gone. It is getting hard to find.

It is owned by Disney and they must have pressed like 5 million DVD's of it and obviously 0 Blu-ray's (not in the USA I mean). They really do not release very much catalog like Ruthless People is a really wanted Blu-ray. I have the import of Turner and Hooch on Blu-ray and it looks fine, this is one of my favorite Tom Hanks movies with The Burbs, Big, Dragnet, The Money Pit and Forrest Gump right with it.

I actually bought the Aussie release of Turner and Hooch also. Watched it 3 nights ago. I'll watch almost almost anything from the 80's with Hanks. Don't get me wrong, I love some his serious stuff, but I miss his comedy days.

Yeah his 80's comedys are awesome and I forgot to mention "Splash" love that Hanks film to.

I'm kind of waiting for one of the boutiques (Kino, TT, whoever really) that has a deal with Fox to release The Man With One Red Shoe. Volunteers is a very long shot given that it's stuck in HBO Pictures purgatory along with The Hitcher.
