Netflix Punisher DVD ? Is it Legit - Blu-ray Forum

I stumbled upon this on Amazon. Its cheaper than most of the netflix |DVD but I am not sure if it is a bootleg or not

That sure looks like a DVD to me

I really hope this gets released on Blu-ray, but I'd be surprised if it happened this soon (all the previous MCU Netflix shows took well over a year after they were originally released on Netflix to be released on BD). Oddly enough that DVD seems to be legit (at least going by a couple minutes of Google research), so perhaps this isn't going to be released on Blu-ray at all

I would say that it is legit. All of the other shows have had dvd and blu-ray releases.

There has been no official release as of yet, I have been waiting for one. I don't know if there will be one to be honest.

Yeah, total bootleg. A few things make it obvious to me:

1. They left out the logos for ABC Studios AND, most importantly, Marvel on the back, and have Netflix instead of Marvel on the spine which isn't how the others are done. They even have it saying Lionsgate when they lost the rights in 2013 and it went back to Marvel and everybody knows Marvel is Disney now. That's just bad falsification right there.

2. It would be 4 discs like the other releases, not 3. They put 3-4 episodes per disc on the BD, and BD has more space than a DVD...
3. Iron Fist and Defenders would more than likely be released first.
4. None of the other releases have taglines.

They have Stranger Things and The Crown also listed, they're also bootlegs.

Honestly, I have become a little cynical about things being released on physical media, so tend to be a Debbie Downer.

Bootleg. TWD season 8 has been on DVD for months now via bootlegs on eBay, no official release until August.

It probably ain't. The bootleggers tend to copy & paste from other shows. If you could read the fine print, it's probably the copyright info for Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, or some other legit release.

Definitely a bootleg. eBay reveals some better images to include the UPC number which is listed as 031398263109 except the check digit should be a 4 rather than a 9.

Other discrepancies are the Canadian distributor and partial English/French in the Specs block.

The UPC prefix of 031398 does belong to Lionsgate rather than Entertainment One.

"Distrbuted exclusively in Cadada by Entertainment One."

EDIT: UPC 031398263104 belongs to the Terminator 2: Judgment Day 4K release.

Ah, I thought it was the other way around: Iron Fist, then Punisher, then Defenders. If what you say is the case, then maybe there is hope. All these shows are just so well done, I’m Day1 on any that get released.
Ditto other streaming service exclusives that get physical releases.
There are so many nowadays it’s tough to keep track of them all.

Well, most of the reviews say it's a bootleg.

Another thing, I would've expected a BD to be released at the same time as the DVD, especially since it's Netflix.

Those two things are why I agree with most everyone else. It's bootleg.
