EXTRAS TBA

"A teen-age moviegoers's dream" – Janet Maslin, The New York Times

When New England college student Natalie (Alicia Witt, TV's The Exorcist) finds herself at the center of a series of sadistic murders seemingly inspired by urban legends, she resolves to find the truth about her school's own legend: a twenty-five-year-old story of a student massacre at the hands of an abnormal Psych professor. As the fraternities prepare to celebrate the macabre anniversary, Natalie discovers that she is the focus of the crazed killer's intentions in the ultimate urban legend – the unfolding story of her own horrific murder.
It's an exciting time for post-Scream slashers right now!!

EXTRAS TBA

"... Urban Legends: Final Cut is a killer thriller." (Louise Keller, Urban CineFile)

The making of a horror movie takes on a terrifying reality for students at the most prestigious film school in the country in Urban Legends: Final Cut, the suspenseful follow-up to the smash hit Urban Legend.

At Alpine University, someone is determined to win the best film award at any cost - even if it means eliminating the competition. No one is safe and everyone is a suspect. Urban Legends: Final Cut is an edge-of-your-seat thriller that will keep you guessing until the shocking climax. Starring Jennifer Morrison (Amityville: The Awakening), Matthew Davis (Below), Joseph Lawrence (Rest Stop), Eva Mendes (Ghost Rider), Anthony Anderson (Scream 4), Hart Bochner (Die Hard) and Loretta Devine (Urban Legend).
But why didn't they name drop the sexiest man on the planet, Anson Mount, in the cast listing. I always forget that he's in a couple scenes.

Great for Urban Legend Final Cut, but will have to see with the first one what the transfer will be like. I’d rather a 4K release from Sony.

That commissioned artwork is just beautiful, really one of my favorites ever from scream. I won’t be double dipping though, but definitely getting Final Cut

Does this mean that part 3 is owned by someone else? I'm excited for these, but was expecting all 3 to get released.

I'm probably the only person in the world who prefers the sequel to the original film.
I like that it's set in a film school and all the references it makes to horror classics, Hitchcock in particular.
On the other hand found the original to be quite generic and the ending/killer reveal was pretty stupid.

And on the blu-ray of the first one on the shout site, it says 2-discs.

2-discs? like it has some director's cut or just DVD of the movie?

Will be picking up the first one to replace the BD I currently have. Didn't like the second enough to want to own it.

I almost paid a stupid amount for the Urban Legend blu-ray on eBay and now I'm glad I didn't. This release is going to be awesome, and super excited to pick up the sequel as well!! I wish they'd release Bloody Mary though. That was one of my first horror movies I watched, it has a special place to me. Needs a proper release!

Maybe it's not as popular as the first two? I've heard not so good things about Bloody Mary, but I've never seen it so I don't know. Obviously, it's a supernatural film rather than a slasher film which is what the first two films are.

Too bad no Urban Legend: Bloody Mary. Might as well import the trilogy for my husband.

I don't seem to recall there were any problems with the Sony disc for the first movie, or were there?

I love Scream Factory and all of these releases are fantastic news. But is there a reason Scream didn't get Urban Legend: Bloody Mary?
Seems like a lost chance to release a trilogy. Just asking.

I was gonna make a snobby joke that it's hated by too many people to warrant a Blu release, but then I remember I willingly accepted a copy of Van Sant's "Psycho" on Blu, so "Bloody Mary" probably does have an audience. Somewhere.
