From the first day I could afford it, this was my subwoofer of choice. Unassuming at first - a 200W amplifier, a 10" driver - a 1'-0" cubed, sealed enclosure. "Why, what's so powerful about this?" Everything.

A size that similarly capable subwoofers turn green with envy to have, a size that some of your wives would love - yet with the power, speed, and depth to handle more than just your one-note bass. Scenes come alive with the Dynamo like you wouldn't understand. Reverberations, explosions, roaring wind, gunfire retorts, roars, crashing waves - you name it. Each has its distinct note. A common misconception is that bass is about shaking your foundations and breaking down your walls. I want to clarify that THIS is not the case. Sure, I can do this with my Dynamo. But what you want is the clarity - and I would love to add a second one of these to even out the effects of standing waves and provide an even low-frequency range to the entire room. So you can have your Sherman-sized subwoofer. I'll take that same performance and put it into a BMW M3 frame.

Highly recommended. I should also note that I do not use the LFE In, I use the Right/Left Ins - provides a little dB increase in output. Again, this is wired with BlueJeansCable coaxial shielded cables.

If only people bother to read half of the information that is already there, I will be very happy. Some of us have spent a great deal of our time creating some of these threads. My only compensation comes from the members reading these threads and learning something from them.

Replace the cat with a lion, tiger, or a snake and that will kill the temptation.

Replace the cat with a Velociraptor!

Sigh. I need some encouragement to start posting on the forums again and participating. Its lost its luster to me lately.

Martin Logan Sub Club! I'm in!

For what it's worth, I've read what seems like a small novel of information that you've supplied Big Daddy. I've learned quite a bit, thank you.

I may end up being a Martin Logan owner in the very near future (next week). I will be auditioning the Martin Logan Dynamo tonight. I want to see how conservative ML's stated tech spec of 200 watts really is. I'm hoping it is going to be at least a good amount of punching base for movies.

You too? I am practically done upgrading. Yes, done. Unfortunately, I see no upgrades in the near-future...

So I was a BB today and was just there to get away for a while, and went to the Magnolia Studio. While there I was auditioning (for fun) some Vienna Acoustic speakers, Def Tech BP7002/4/6 and other speakers.

Any way I noticed that they had several subs, the one playing was a Klipsch, eh, so I switched it to the Supercube 1, and I really liked the power and sound.

I found a Dynamo they had there after a few minutes and thought what the heck, lets try it..... WOW that little guy was hitting so hard that it was pushing its way off the shelf they had it on. And the BASS, was so pure, filled then entire 200 sq ft room so cleanly. A guy came in to check out a Klipsch Center and we got started talking and he even asked what are you playing, I showed him the bi-pole speakers and the Sub, He was like, "that sub, I want one" he even went and got a pad of paper and a pen to write down the model.... he was hooked, ME TOO.... They were playing the Pod race scene of Phantom Menace. My wife just gave me the stare when I told her, she even mocked me, "do you love it, did you love it, was it all you wanted in a sub..." All that said... I was so shocked at how much power that little box was producing.

I think it is time to stop buying Blus for a year and set the cash aside for another sub. Wow.

Or, you can just sell half of your movies at around $15 each and have more than enough for one. Audiogon is a great place to look for deals.

You see?

If you want, at some point this summer, I'll gladly sell you mine when I upgrade.

HAHA. No, I only buy the movies I want to watch time and again, so I really like my collection, although I do have about 5 I would give away... Came free with the Panny BD-10 BDP.

OF course there is always time when I get my Tax refund next year.... Hmmmm.

Heck, mine is immaculate. I'd say probably $300-$400. I'd be going either to an Abyss or to a SVS cylinder or a HSU VTF-3. But this is all in the future, July/August.

DK, is this sub "better" then say the eD? Other then buying the Martin Logan name, is it really worth $650? if the eD is equal so to speak is spending the extra $250 worth it??
