Default Is there 1 4k player that will do everything for my Sony 940E?

Hello all,

Sorry to make a thread for this, but I'm having trouble reading through all the threads for the latest updates on different players.

I have a Sony 75' 940E series TV and currently I'm using a 2nd gen Samsung 4K player. The player is fantastic. I've had maybe 2 freezes in 2 years - compared to other players I read about on the forums, this player is pretty awesome.

I would like to get DV through my player to my TV. As many know, the player has to conform to Sony DV standards to work.

Here is my questions:
Is there a player out there that is solid quality (doesn't have a lot of issues/glitches), plays DV for Sony TV's, has good streaming capability, and has HDR for VUDU/YouTube?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but here is what I'm seeing as I review players I would consider.

Sony 700 - seems to freeze a lot from what I've read (but plays DV for Sony).
Sony 800 - Doesn't play DV
Panasonic 820 - Doesn't play DV for Sony TV's (no announcement to support it).
Oppo 203 - Doesn't stream (Don't think it plays DV for Sony yet).
LG - Read about a lot of glitches/freezes, (Not sure if it plays DV for Sony yet).

Am I uninformed or misinformed? I can't seem to find a player that hits all these basic checkmarks.

Any corrections or suggestions would be greatly appreciated from you all out there who have these players or are better educated on them than me.

Thank you for your time.

I have a 700 player and it only froze once during Ready a player One 4K at the same time it skipped for everyone else. The freeze last 2 seconds and didn’t advance the movie like how people’s skipped ahead. I like the player. If that helps.

The Oppo 203 does Sony DV since June 1st. It's not being sold anymore, so hard to find but still maintained/supported by vendor. It used a HDMI input to allow set-top boxes to stream. The available CA CXUHD is similar without the analog connectivity, just costs more.

Thank you for the response. Could you explain what you mean by using HDMI to allow set top boxes to stream? What do you mean by set-top box in this case?

Thank you.

The Oppo has an HDMI input that can be used to connect something like an Apple TV or Roku

This is what I'm looking for. I'm fed up with my Xbox one S and ready for a dedicated player, but I would like it with apps that support her for Vudu and Netflix. From what I've seen no HDR for Vudu on the Sony x700.

My tv doesn't support DV but I wouldn't oppose the player supporting it for future displays.

What is the one 4k player that plays discs reliably and also supports 4k streaming with HDR for Netflix and Vudu?
