I've met Sybil Danning three times and she is awesome. She is very nice, has a great sense of humor and still looks great.

I really like this steelbook and when I got it at SDCC I got the print also. I may take it to Monsterpalooza and have Dee Wallace sign it.

Received this steel, along with Army of Darkness and Lifeforce. All damaged. This is bound to happen when one ships in a freaking bubble mailer. Darn you, Amazon.

They said they would as soon as they get new stock. It's been a bad two weeks with them. First they lost my copy of Revenge, won't be shipped oil that's back in stock too, and now this.

Are you sure? I thought it was the same Scream CE disc in a new steel book. I purchased the Studio Canal steel book just for that reason.

I can verify that, my copy has the Studio Canal logo on the spine also.

FYE has these and I went ahead and bought Lifeforce and The Howling paying $26 a piece just to avoid shipping hassles. I'm weary of ordering Steelbooks online as they are so fragile

That's great news the discs are the Studio Canal remaster. It's such a superior scan. If I'd have known a few months back I'd probably have gotten the Scream steel book (although the SC steel looks great as well).

Man... If I knew the disc in this steelbook contained a new transfer, I would've kept my pre-order and passed on ordering the first release through Amazon on Prime Day (although $9 and some change is still a great deal for that release).

Oh yeah, amazon is HORRIBLE with shipping. The only way to get a cardboard mailer is to pick gift packaging, unfortunately. Kind of sucks you have to pay extra just to try to get something in mint condition. Even then, there's no guarantee. I've tried to order the Predator 4K set 3 times now and each time it's been damaged. Then on top of that, they have the nerve to jack up the price of Prime - I definitely won't be renewing this year!

Funny, I've ordered from Amazon many times and never had a problem. Only one had a spine slash, but I easily exchanged it.

I just looked at the original CE disc and it also has the Studio Canal logo on it and in front of the movie when it plays so I dont think that can be used as an indicator the transfer is different.

Besides going by the logo, can anyone confirm from actually watching and comparing the transfer on the steelbook disc, that it is a newer one?

I'm pretty sure that it's the original scan reused. The only way to be sure is by watching it. There is a massive picture upgrade that is unquestionable imo. If it turns out to be the same disc I'd nuke it from orbit.
