It is surprising that this film has not had a Blu-Ray release yet given the quality of the film, the talent involved, and it being somewhat of an indie hit upon release in 1996.
Moreover, I recall the DVD release having atrocious picture quality and may have even been non-anamorphic. It being a niche Sony (Columbia Tri-Star) title, I can see this potentially ending up with Twilight Time. Anybody have any inklings on this? |

Jon Mulvaney at Criterion replied to my email to say there was no immediate plans for a physical release but directed me to its availability on the Criterion Channel. Badly want this also.

BN is an excellent '90's indy film. Really like the 1950's NJ shore setting; and, as a huge foodie - the restaurant storyline was especially interesting.
Definitely agree this needs a Blu upgrade, pronto. The PQ on the existing DVD print is crap. The only good thing I can say about this is that it is Anamorphic. Last edited by AnamorphicWidescreen; 01-23-2020 at 12:01 PM. |

Is there anyway we can band together and request this title? It would make a great release, even if it's barebones. It sounds like they have the physical rights as well, yes?

Was just coming here myself to see if anyone knew where the home distro rights lie? Sounds like Criterion would have first dibs.
