Default Batman the Animated Series Season 4 HD on iTunes

Season 4 of Batman the Animated Series has an HD listing on iTunes, but it's not cheap. Just thought it was interesting with the Blu Ray set about to come out.

I bought the complete series a while back when it was on sale. I know iTunes upgrades HD to 4k when you buy directly from them, but does anyone know if this should go from SD to HD. I can see that I still have the option to buy the single season for over $70, which is not very tempting.

SD generally doesn't get upgraded to HD. The only time that has happened to me is that I had Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters in SD that got upgraded a couple of months after I redeemed it

Not likely.

I bought Simpsons Season 1 for $4.99 back when SD was the only option for it.

Since then, they now offer that season in HD, but my purchase was not upgraded to HD.

I predict similar results in this situation.

I have been trying to access Batman The Animated Series on my Apple 4k tv. I bought it a while back as the complete series. For some reason I cannot access it. Is anyone else having this problem? It also appears the complete series is not available in the store.

When it comes to movies on iTunes, customers get the HD and 4K upgrades.

TV shows are a different kettle of fish.

Same for me with Star Wars The Clone Wars. HD only appeared half way through season 2. Even though they upgraded al the episodes prior to that I still only own the SD versions.

Are you able to stream that season of The Simpsons?

The Clone Wars is still in My Purchases for download but I can't stream it on any device - I'd have to buy them all again to do that*. Is it the same for a lot of TV shows?

Fortunately I don't need to stream it. I have them all downloaded and in a chronologically correct playlist. :P

Has anyone who bought the complete series checked to see if Batman The Complete Animated Series will play for them? My shows will still not play at this time. They obviously played when I first bought it.

Default Batman the Animated Series Itunes SD

I bought the complete series when it was on sale for $30. It plays just fine on my apple tv and iphone and looks great to me. I'd love to compare to the HD, but am not going to pay $80 to upgrade. Glad I didn't buy the new blu ray set since everyone is complaining it only came with SD digital copies on vudu.

WB is fixing the digital redeem codes so they will come in HD soon.

Not planning on buying, but I'm curious where you read they were fixing the code issue.

Nice to know they're doing this. Also read they're upgrading people who are already redeemed. Still curious how much better the streaming HD picture quality is than the SD. The series in SD on my apple tv looks quite sharp.
