Hard to go down when they sucked from the beginning.

6th sense was a horribly boring movie that tricked people into liking it with a surprise at the end that made them forget the previous 1 1/2 hour borefest.

Signs was retarded... aliens with technology enough to travel across light years of space to invade a planet where they are allergic to a substance that covers 71% of the planets surface... yeah, that's believable.

Unbreakable was the only movie he had with a sense of promise, but he ruined it.

The Village: a movie with a surprise that forgot to be a surprise...

I think Lady in the Water and Happening speak for themselves.

He's a great director, but he's definitely run out of any creative juices where writing is concerned.

He needs to put down the pen and pick up the camera on some really great, already penned screenplay. Who knows, maybe during a "directing only" stint, a new story may begin brewing in that creative mind of his.

Yes, M. Night Schlongalong has gone down faster than Linda Lovelace in a porn movie.

I wonder if he'll be able to pick himself back up for his next film. I mean popularity-wise, people won't care how good a movie it could be, they might generally refrain from getting their hopes up anymore.

Default I didn't see The Happening movie.

I do know enough about the plot & the ending. The culprit seems plausible without giving the ending.

The Village stumped me until the end, that's how M. Night gets you with the twist.

He's got more mileage to go.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It's clear that he has talent but he has painted himself into a creative corner by going to the well too often with formulaic supernatural films. I think he needs to try something completely different to save himself.

At this point I believe Signs is an underrated movie by the general public. Sure the aliens do not look that fear-inspiring when finally revealed but overall the movie has a good message.

I really think he needs to retire and just give it up at this point. Hes just making worse and worse movies as time goes on. Hes already embarrassed himself enough...

I thought that signs and the sixth sense were pretty good. All the rest are, at least in my opinion, far to boring to watch more than once. All his movies seem to hinge on one "BIG" surprise, which unfortunately doesn't make up for the rest of the movie. I was really looking forward to the Happening but once I watched it I was terribly disappointed. He may be going down hill but it only takes one movie to start back up.

The sixth sense was nice and the ending takes you by surprise. But after that it felt as if he was only trying to rehash scenarios with the same big-surprise-at-the-end kind of structure which of course was getting worse movie after movie. he's got talent so perhaps he should re-think his approach.

the sixth sense and unbreakable were watchable, but i gave up on him after i saw the village. horrible horrible film, its fine to have plot twists, but they have to twist in an exciting way, not an, oh so thats what was going on, thats &$(%@! stupid way. after renting it with my roommates at college, we were so pissed at the ending, we took it back immediately and asked for our money back, apparently the guy working didnt like it either, cause he was glad to refund us our money

Only the Sixth Sense was a "great" movie. Unbreakable was "good". Since those two movies, all others have been boring/lame/useless/waste of time or whatever you want to call them.

Lady in the Water and The Happening were shear garbage. There's three and a half to four hours I wish I had back.

M. Night needs to choose either writing or directing and stick with that. If it were my choice, only directing.

I would definitely not waste my money on seeing any of his movies in the theater at this point.
