Artwork shown and November release date listed. Seems legit. The big question though is it uncut? It'd be a shame to loose footage over music rights issues.

Wow. Would love to revisit these. Watched as a very young kid maybe 7/8 my dad loved them so was able to watch.
I recall a Spider-Man scene when he crawls into a gents and the realisation of no way to open up and just wets himself. That has locked in my memory bank for some 30+ years.
Obviously the main regular characters are burnt in as well, of all I think the DIY guy who just power tools himself to a bloody wreck, is my favourite

Was the space cartoon always part of this or was that something that would be released separately? Captain Cranium was it?

I also remember watching and enjoying (and probably being utterly puzzled by) these as a child which kind of makes the 15 cert a bit intriguing. From what I remember some content was on the crude side of sexist but nothing worse than you'd get in later period Carry Ons or the stronger Benny Hill episodes. Thinking about it it could be the above mentioned Reg Prescott DIY man who's pushed it into 15 territory.

The Captain Kremmen (had to double check that spelling) animations were an integral part of these shows so will be included.

Captain Kremmen was always part of the ITV show, whilst the cack-handed Reg Prescott was the BBC show.

Captain Kremmen was a Cosgrove Hall animation that was part of the first 3 series so should be included. For some reason Kremmen went live action for series 4.

I think the Spiderman sketch you recall might be from the BBC Kenny Everett Television Show so won't be on this and neither will Cupid Stunt who was created for a video special that appeared between the end of Thames and the start of the BBC series (unless she was on Thames final series 4, renamed the Video Cassette - I don't recall much on that one).

Music rights have always been blamed for the lack of Kenny in any great quantity so if they've cleared it all then brilliant but if they haven't it will still be great to see the bulk of the show - that is the sketches

That's a shame but not surprising.

Considering the release is confirmed via a preorder email from Network this is a pertinent fact they seem to have forgotten to mention.
£40 for 6 discs also seems a bit expensive considering the recently released 12 disc set of The Goodies is only £40 from Sainsbury.

However, this Kenny set is something I've hoped to see for years.
I do hope the missing bits are simply Hot Gossip dancing to the music rather than actual appearances on the show

Do we have any idea who is NOT going to appear on the DVDs?

That wouldn't be wise. Wikipedia has an episode list with all the musical guests listed. If something is missing that's listed there, some folks are going to be very upset.

Kenny Everett set arrived today. Despite edits it's an outstanding release. Definitely no Paul McCartney, Wings or Kate Bush from what my speedy browse has shown. I'm not familiar enough with the content to know exactly what's missing but running times show it could be as much as 100 minutes across the whole set.
However, it's great that the Hot Gossip routines are all intact despite them dancing to the music of the day which I thought might be an issue but even their Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd dances are included.
The only ad I could ever recall was a great one from Technics and that is there and even in more than one episode.

The Do It Yourself Bee Gees Kit includes part of "Children of the World" but it's there even though a couple of Bee Gees tracks at the school disco meant edits for the Grange Hill dvd's.
Hot Gossip dance to The Rolling Stones "I can't get no satisfaction" yet the exact same track, along with other Stones music ensured the UK dvd of the Just Good Friends Xmas Special was edited in the most bizarre way with the 10 minute party sequence having all the soundtrack removed and dialogue replaced with subtitles.

All the sketches and moments I could recall and wanted to see again seem to be there. I can now replace my 21 minute Granada+ recording of the Xmas 78 show with the dvd's 37 minute version.
I can't be the only one who never expected to see this series get released and it's a good example of why we love Network. Only they would take the time and trouble (and it's taken literally years) to get all the clearances needed.

Tv release of the year for me without a doubt.
With this and The Goodies maybe Not the 9 O'Clock News isn't impossible

They're probably the only label that would take on NT9OCN without cutting out all the Chris Langham bits.
