Default Intellivision Amico (release date TBD)

Every game is supposed to be exclusive to the platform and cost less than $8, with no DLC or in-app purchases.

Never heard of this, but I'm interested. Going to keep my expectations low, but there is a major nostalgia factor for me. While most of my friends had an Atari when I was a kid, I had an Intellivision. And I loved it! Really cool console with tons of great games. If this has updated versions of Shark! Shark!, Astrosmash, and Night Stalker, I don't think I'll be able to resist.

This thing is being worked on & funded by the best in the video game industry unlike any clone console before it.

I have my doubts about how well it will attain attraction amongst gamers but have 0 doubts that it will be a great console.

Yeah the amount of sheer talent behind the scenes is staggering for a device like this. I don't expect much but am still interested in how it plays out.

I knew very few kids who had video game consoles, but it was either ColecoVision or Atari for them. I was the only one with an Intellivision, but I sure loved Night Stalker, Armor Battle and Sea Battle more than anything they had. And it had the better BurgerTime too.

The original creators of Earthworm Jim are reuniting for a new game - but you'll need Amico, the new Intellivision console due October 2020, to play it.

Amico is set to be a console for exclusive retro-themed games - remakes and new titles such as this new Earthworm Jim. The console itself will cost between $150 and $180 (about £135) with downloadable games priced between $3 and £8 (about £6).

The team will hold a 20-minute livestream this Saturday, 4th May at 8pm UK time to discuss the project and give away signed posters.

Oh man as little kids we loved our Intellivision! So much better than our friend who had a boring VCS.

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Night Stalker, Armor Battle, Utopia, Lock 'n' Chase, Astro Smash, Tron Deadly Discs, B17 Bomber....amazing at the time.

Hell, Night Stalker is still fun now - I played it on the Xbox 360 a few years back.

Not that it means much but Ed Annunziata Tweeted the other day to either Tallarico or Perry (can't remember) that he wants to put an Ecco game on this.

Tallarico Tweeted that they will have a presence at e3. They will show the first 22 games behind closed doors.

Amico has been delayed again. This time they say it's due to component supply and logistics.

After the constant delays with no end in sight, plus all the changes they keep making from the initial announcement, plus the Tommy Tallarico factor, I've decided to cancel my preorder. This console is Intellivision in name only.

Too bad. Loved the original Intellivision. Might go for the Atari VCS console instead.

I've been in two minds for a long time, I have a founders edition on order but I'm honestly struggling to find any games which really appeal to me.
This was really an Earthworm Jim console for me, I love the Mega Drive originals, I even enjoyed the ropy N64 entry, but I'm pretty sure the new game will be disappointing when it drops in the future.
