Default Resident Evil 1, 4 and 0 coming to Switch

https://www.gameinformer.com/2018/10...switch-in-2019

Capcom is bringing three classic Resident Evil titles to Switch next year. Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 will all hit Nintendo's hybrid system in 2019. While no further details are available, players can look forward to experiencing these classic and influential horror games on the go or on the big screen next year.

Porting Ground.

I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of those would be download-only, because they can't be bothered to use a larger cart. Unless of course they release every single one stand-alone for $40 each lol.

They'll probably put 0 and 1 together as an "origins" pack again for retail.

No physical copy, no purchase. (For me, at least)

(It can even be a Japanese copy with English text for all I care, I hate this digital only trend that's slowly killing game collecting)

I'll happily buy all of them for the zillionth time if it's physical. RE4 never gets old. And I'm one of the few people who really seems to like RE5, so hopefully we eventually get that too.

I just wrapped up playing RE4 and REmake on the Switch OLED and I was really happy with the ports. They looked great on the OLED screen and it was fun playing these games before I went to bed on a portable system (I rarely used my Switch in portable mode so it's still a fairly novel experience for me). They are still two of my all-time favorites and this was a great way to replay them and make them feel at least a bit new again.

I was so impressed with the RE games that I decided to pick up DOOM 2016 and the Bioshock Collection when there were on sale to see how they fare on the system. Unfortunately, I'm feeling a bit of buyer's remorse with those ones. As crazy as it still seems to have those games available on a portable (especially DOOM, considering when it came out) they just don't translate very well.
