So, let me get things straight.
1. LG C8 OLED 4K UHD TV series for people who use TV in dark place (like at night time?) and LG SK 4K UHD TV series for bright place (morning/afternoon time?). Q1: Is what I said above correct or what? 2. For LG OLED 4K UHD TV Burn-In: - I shouldn't use it when I: Watch Long periods of static content will cause burn-in on OLED TVs. For example watch movies for long period or play video games for long period or use PC for long period of time. If not, someone correct me. |

1. Both tvs have settings for day and night. Excess dark or light isn't a deal breaker for those or most TVs.
2. Just use common sense and a vary your tv watching. If you watch a movie with black bars, watch something full screen after. If you play a game with HUDs, switch to full screen tv every hour or so. If you watch a channel with a logo or news ticker: change the channel often. |

Burn in usually happens when you keep your tv on one screen for a certain amount of time

I've been very disappointed with LG's local dimming implementations on their LED range. Not an issue with OLED.
I'm switching allegiances. I was singing the praises of LG OLEDs but you've got to be so careful with them I'm defecting to Samsung's Q series (only the ones with FALD mind) as what I'd consider to be the best all-rounder for 4K HDR content. Make up your own mind though, but if you are in the market for a new TV I'd recommend looking into the Samsungs at the least. DV and HDR10+ are also things to take into account, as no TV currently has both. |
