Talking Kubrick going Blu

From IGN

Try on the Blu-ray and HD DVD versions of Eyes Wide Shut, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Full Metal Jacket (Deluxe Edition).

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but wow. Have you any taste at all?

WEll I didn't like Full Metal Jacket, I'm half vietnamese so maybe that's why. Space Odessey is good though. And the Shining is good, but I'm not a fan of remastered movies in High Def, because it's just not worth the money to rebuy and what you get. Oh and that's pathetic that you're going to ban me over not liking a film, Very Pathetic. EVen Ask DrinkMoore, lol.

2001 was shot in SuperPanavision (regular 70mm) It's aspect ratio is 2.20

(The camera negative sans soundtrack might have a little more (like 2.28 or so))

Not sure why someone with a sig like this:

Don't really care about either format,
would care one way or the other or be here in the first place.

Hopefully it will be done from the best available elements and be in it's 70mm full imagery and 6-track stereo. (Well it'll probably just be the 5.1 3 front 2 back instead of 70mm's 5 front 1 back but oh well)

I can not WAIT to get 2001! That is one of the best movies of all time!
Although not nearly as good, I would also like to get 2010, the story does continue there and I think it is decent but not as good or artistic as 2001.
To think they made that movie before we ever landed on the moon! (and none of that "we never landed on the moon" CRAP!)

Default Kubrick DVDs

I am really excited about these releases and it is making save up for the player etc tv etc ... plus the fact Blade Runner is coming and Hopefully to be announced soon POLTERGEIST .... I just hop e with films Like Clockwork Orange that the original Warner Bros Logo is used at the opening of the film I hate it when they use the newer one with any film they reissue cause if takes one out of the moment exp with that score used.

2001 is my al time fav though.
