Default Netflix's "You" (Season 1)

Anyone watch season one of YOU? It was really good! Like a cross between American Psycho and Dexter but with social media being a major component

It was fun and dark. A dramedy I guess

I'm waiting for it to be premiered in Netflix, since for International markets that's how we will see it. It's out in December the 26th.

I'm not kidding when I say "it was really good!"

I never would have thought I would be watching a show on Lifetime Network.

And now that it's over, I'm wondering if there will be a blu-ray release?
Do Lifetime Network shows get physical media releases?

I started this thread because I couldn't find an existing thread NOR a profile page for it at blu-ray.com. If one exists, I'm sorry for starting this one. Feel free to merge this with it. But it's such a vague, broad title that it's not even easy to search on Google unless you put in "2018" or "lifetime".

They should make more shows like these. A normal dude that loves a woman and does anything to know her and become her lover. And its creepy sometimes. I didnt watch every episode yet but from what i have watched this is refreshing.

I loved it. Wildly entertaining.

There was maybe a bit of a lull in episodes 7 & 8, but the rest was so much fun.

A lot of people I've mentioned it to won't watch it solely because it's on Lifetime. Their loss.

This show was incredible. More proof Lifetime can really show out with their scripted shows when they want to (like Unreal which I also loved). Loved how dark the show became and I really enjoyed the whole plot. Hope this makes it to DVD and/or blu-ray because I'll be picking this one up. So glad it was greenlit for a second season in advance because with that cliffhanger at the end of the finale... I gotta have more!

Can't wait for the second season.

How much John Stamos is there? Is it one of those shows where they used the star to promote it, but it's more of less just a glorified paycheck cameo? Or does he have a lot of crucial moments?

I read Caroline Kepnes' book that inspired this show and thought it was quite entertaining. Like a modern take on John Fowles' The Collector, which is one of my favorite books.
Haven't seen the show yet, I'm waiting for it to hit Netflix next month.

Not a lot. He doesn't show up until episode 7 and then he has scenes in each episode after that. He is central to the plot per se later on and becomes a focus in a way I can't say without possible getting too spoiler-y, but I still think the show is worth a watch regardless. Kind of curious if he'll be involved with season 2 or not in one way or another.

Ah, okay. I ended up getting all 10 episodes, so I will be getting to it at some point this year hopefully. I have 7 shows I'm trying to watch lol

I didn’t even know he (Stamos) was in it until he showed up in episode seven or so.

On my end, I didn’t even see lifetime promoting the show by using John Stamos. I came to learn of the show due to actor Penn Badgley making the rounds on the talk show circuit -

I actually liked that I didn’t recognize anyone from the show (except Stamos)

Aside from Badgley and Stamos, there were a few other familiar faces.

Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars, The Possession Of Hannah Grace)
Daniel Cosgrove (Van Wilder, Valentine)
Lou Taylor Pucci (Evil Dead remake, Spring)
Hari Nef (Assassination Nation)

Pucci played the douchebag so well here, he was almost unrecognizable.

I started watching this after finding out it's made by the same people who make other shows I watch. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. I want to eventually read the books.
Given WB made it I'm assuming a DVD or Blu-ray is coming.
Bring on season 2!

I'd read the novels over a year ago and was very curious about the show. Although I stayed with it, I really disliked the cast so much it ruined the show for me. I did enjoy the novels enough that I'm on the library waitlist for Kepnes' new novel, Providence.

Not only will the first season be available on Netflix starting 12/26, but the second season will be shown there and not on Lifetime.

No date yet as to when the second season will premiere.

Started the series today, just finished episode 5. It's pretty fun! Glad to hear it was renewed, and will be a Netflix show now.
