Default You Paid Way Too Much for Your TV

According to the Superbowl Vizio ad, if it's not a Vizio, you paid way too much for your TV . Give me a break. Who believes this crap?

Unfortunately, most of the uninformed J6Ps out there who are upgrading their 25" SD TVs. I literally laughed out loud at that commercial. I was going to start a thread about it, but you beat me to it!

Am I right in saying that most tv's made now are componet tv's. As in the parts are from various brands and sources. So are you just paying for the brand name in a way, other than that brand souping up the product a little? Sony, LG, etc, etc...

And your point is? Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota, Lexus, etc all use similar parts produced by many of the same companies. Does this mean their cars are all the same? The quality of today's TVs are the result of MUCH more than the sum of their parts.

I saw the commercial too and laughed. Kind of suspected something like that would happen since the Superbowl was sponsored by Vizio in HD. Sad thing is though now alot of people will run out to buy a Vizio! They have no clue what they are getting into. lol

This is true. I am sure not all Vizio's are bad but I have had a bad experience with Vizio and lets face it they dont get good remarks all to often. BB refuses to sell them in my area as does Ultimate Electronics. The only place I see them anymore is Walmart and a few Kmarts. Other then that I dont see them anywhere else.
