I never thought windows had any chance of any awards recognition. It has fire bombed pretty hard.

What is up with all this Lion King talk? Black Panther has nothing to do with The Lion King. I swear. All the butthurts have come out of the woodwork.

Which, in theory, is totally irrelevant to an award which is supposed to be about "quality".

Certainly takes some elements from Hamlet, though officially it is credited as an original screenplay (unlike many Disney animated movies which are considered adaptations).

Also about the awards season in general, looks pretty clear to me that First Man and Widows are not going to be major players, they just lost all their buzz and momentum upon release.

Nope. Over here, Shakespeare is mostly known as "that boring crap we had to read in high school". Or perhaps more accurately, "that boring crap that we pretended to read but actually we just bought Cliff Notes for". I can't imagine a world without Shakespeare, but the vast majority of people here are like, eh, whatevs...

Actually, Shakespeare is known as that guy Rufus likes and loves to make music about.

I wouldn’t say it was hollow, but even if it was, it was so much damn fun that I had a better time with it than any other movie this year. Sometimes I will take that over meaning and symbolism.

It's gonna be a very interesting awards season, to say the least.

Personally, not for me. Watched it twice to try and see if I could be swayed but to no avail.
