Christian Bale loses it on the set of Terminator Salvation

I don't care who anybody is, treating someone like that is pathetic and inexcusable.

I understand he must have been under quite a bit of stress though, it was probably the busiest 1-2 years of his life.

1. The Dark Knight was being released, he was already working on Terminator Salvation
2. he was taken into custody for apparently hitting his mom and sister
3. he did a couple of movies the year prior,
4. Heath Ledger died only a number of months prior (january of last year) - that had to have had an affect on him.
5. he's had a Violent and/or disturbing professional career (batman/dark knight, equilibrium, american psycho, the machinist, 3:10 to Yuma), which, when you're a method actor and you step into the characters like he does it takes a toll on your mind.

but, like i said, what he DOES and SAYS is part of his character. just like anybody else. he's made himself to appear as a jerk.

news stations said that the reason this audio clip was released is because the director or producer sent it to their insurance company in case Bale decided to "bail" out on the terminator: salvation movie.

Personally, i don't mind if he doesn't return as Batman again... as long as it isn't George Clooney.

LOL, I love how people overreact to this thing. If anything, WB leaked the audio recording to create more hype for the Terminator movie. The timing of this is too coincidental. The incident happened all the way back in the summer of 2008 yet the audio clip just so happens to leak many months later and just a couple months before the movie comes out? Seems way too convenient in the timeline department. The way the world works nowadays, any publicity is good publicity even if it's bad publicity.

Meanwhile, there's no way in hell WB wouldn't want Bale back for Batman 3. He did them a favor signing on to Terminator and giving it more credibility than it ever would have had given the people involved. It's McG for ****'s sake.

Anyone think McG should have been an ACTUAL director and taken care of the situation? He's the director and the fault goes on him for not handling his set. Not for what Bale did, but for not handling his set. Repeating that just incase anyone thinks I'm blaming McG for what Bale did. Your movie, your set, get it together.

i think bale is a genious...i mean he studies hard for his role..he was deep into character and some idiot with a camera stumbles into the scene not even caring whats going on...

Bale wont get pushed around he then began pwnage all over the place.
Bet that photographer will watch were he walks from now on

i kinda understand where bale is coming from i mean yes he does get into character good and im sure that was a distraction. but youre making a movie! not deactivating a bomb! i thought making movies were supposed to be fun, i mean who wants to be around him when you feel like youre walking on pins and needles around him.

I know they gave it to the insurer. That was months ago. The public leak was in the last couple of days, and I think it came straight from WB. The insurer probably has a confidentiality agreement with WB and wouldn't have leaked it to the public.

Yes all true but remember that it's also a job for him and while we might comment that is reaction is not profesional, the other way of looking at it is that he is very professional and take is job to heart, maybe even too much and wan't to do a great job and doesn't like being distracted.

You think so? Having not seen the policy I guess I can't comment, but I'll agree with you that it could be a ploy by WB, which of course is just as ridiculous as the rant by Bale in the first place.

If the guy apologized, it should be the end of the story. I've lost some respect for him, but I'm sure he's not losing any sleep over that.
