If there ever is a Uncharted movie cast Nathan Fillion please - Blu-ray Forum

Does anybody else think that Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity) would be the perfect actor for a Uncharted movie. I mean the character in the game is almost identical to Nathan Fillion. I think they based the character off of him the way he talks and how funny & sarcastic he is in the game just sounds exactly like Nathan's character in Serenity. Just thinking if they ever make a movie out of Uncharted he better be the first pick to play the role. Thoughts?

He'd be perfect. But let's be realistic.. it'll probably end up being Shia LeBouf.

I know what you mean. I really like him as an actor and wish he would get out of the bad tv show rut and start doing good movies. I think Uncharted with him as the lead would make a ****load of money and probably make sequels like a newer hipper Indiana Jones.

I think Jason Bateman would be perfect as Nathan Drake. He has recently hit it big with Arrested Development, The Kingdom, Juno, and Hancock so tons of people recognize him.

Plus he has the sarcastic tone that Drake needs and he actually looks like Drake.

I sure hope not, I mean the kid has talent but he doesn't have to be in every damn movie that comes out. I think here in a few years the public will grow tired of him and he will be out of jobs.

He is a great actor as well I think he has the look but I don't think he comes off as tough enough to play Drake. He kind of played a wuss in The Kingdom always complaining and then letting a girl come to his rescue when he gets captured.

Nathon Fillion first choice, Bateman MAYBE second. I like Bateman I'm just not sure he's manly in the way the movie would require.

Yeah... he's great with Joss but Drive was blah and Waitress wasn't as good as people said. He needs this and it deserves it.

Mal all the way. Nathan Fillion is such an underrated actor. He's a very charismatic actor and should be used more often in movies, specially adventure ones. Hollywood should get rid off Shia Lebeouff or Brandon Frasier and make space for Nathan.

I do like the idea of Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake, but I also had an intersting casting idea pop into my head. Thomas Haden Church. Sure, it wouldn't be a direct replication of the video game character, but he is a highly underrated actor whom, I think, would do wonders with such a role.

Thats a great choice but he would be too old for the role of
Nathan Drake!!

I came in here to post Nathan Fillion actually so yes, I couldn't agree more.

EDIT - wait no, I was confusing him with Jason Bateman. I always confuse the two. Jason Bateman would be my #1 choice

If Warner has their way then you'll know the role will be given to Keanu Reeves.
If paramount has their way then Shia Lebouf
If Columbia has their way then Milla Jovovich.

James McAvoy would be a good choice to play Bilbo in the upcoming Hobbit movie.. but I don't think he has the physical stature or appears as confident as Drake in Uncharted. The Firefly guy is too old, even though I really like him. Drake should be in his late 20's..
