I was thinking that I should start a quality control team, and list films with mistakes, glitches, and other alterations on blu-ray. I have gotten several titles fixed by contacting people. This way, the studios will know who we are, and we aren't just a customer complaining. We can be as visible online on social media, as we want. Who would like to join my team?

I have to wonder what sort of quality control exists at many companies, especially with Kino and Olive putting out several titles with mono audio when they should have been matrixed surround or 5.1.

FYI - There is an existing thread that documents the "Quality Control" issues with Shout/Scream Factory's blu ray releases that someone could maintain.

Nice. I’ve been yelling at all the anime distributors here in the US for years about their lack of QC, but sadly don’t have any contacts for the companies in question. (I have one contact in total, but the company he works at is actually the best in the business- Discotek)
I think the hard part is knowing contacts. Compiling past and present fails is easy, but getting somebody who works at the company you are going after to listen and pass it along is tricky. Spamming their Customer Service would be less effective, so the method as to how to pass along the info is up for debate. |

I'm not sure how secure the idea of having a person work on a studio be. It may isolate the the person too much in some regards. It mostly depends on how big your army gets. I'm approving of your idea. But would like to hear more of the meat and potatoes of the inner workings of how this could really impact early on or how you'd do it. |
