Default 4k Movie Collections Appearing as HD

So, I've been clicking on some of the 4k movie through this website. The Pierce Brosnan Collection says "HD" when you click the link. When open it up in iTunes through the link, it lists all the individual movies as HD. However, when you click each individual movie, it lists them as 4K. The same thing happens with other 4k movie collections such as "Sony Pictures 4K HDR Drama Collection". While I assume iTunes upgrades you to 4K when you actually play them, I'm afraid they will register these purchases as HD so when they go through MoviesAnywhere, it will say you own the HD version. (Obviously not a problem currently with the James Bond films but I expect them to be MoviesAnywhere) someday. So what the heck is the problem with iTunes showing these as being HD on the web and in their app unless you clicks the individual movies?

In iTunes exclusively:

Buy most films through any means: individually, bundled, or through a code and get it in 4K when available.

The bundles are listed as HD but regardless for most films, you’ll get the 4K version when available. That can be at the time of purchase or it can be at a later date.

As for the tag:

Some are listed as 4K while others are HD. If two movies out of three are HD, its best to state HD. Also, the rights are recorded in Movies Anywhere as HD for nearly all bundles.

As far as MA transfers go..Bundles ending in .99 will transfer to MA as HD. Any bundle ending in anything BUT .99 (for instance .97) will transfer to MA as 4K. This is because when a bundle is something other than .99 the movies are treated as individual purchases and thus will transfer in the highest available version.

As far as bundle purchases and how they are displayed, it’s because technically you ARE buying the HD bundle (ITunes doesn’t see a difference price wise).

I did not know that. I will avoid the Pierce Brosnan bundle then.

The Bond films are not Movies Anywhere compatible.
