Really looking forward to this one. The current DVD release isn't the easiest to get cheap now I think, so this is very welcome.

The upscaled HK Blu-ray had a 7 minute interview with Yuen Biao (no subtitles, and no English audio). I guess the "Born to Fight – An archival interview with Yuen Biao [15 mins]" in this is different?

Any chance of getting the 7 minute interview too on this Eureka disc?

It's probably the same one. A lot of those old interviews were cut down and spread out across various DVDs.

The New and Exclusive Audio track should be interesting. And watching with the Spartan X credits as part of the main feature!

Anybody knows/seen the 15 minute interview going to this disc?

Here's how the 7 minute interview starts:

I can't wait!

I recreated the legendary Channel 4 [UK] 1991 Christmas screenings of Project A, Wheels On Meals, Police Story & Armour of God during the holidays and this was the only film I couldn't source a decent HD version of. Had to make do with the HKL DVD, which wasn't too bad to be fair!

Looking forward to this in particular...

Trying to pre-order:

Zavvi: Items £14.99 - Delivery £6.99 - Order Total £21.98

Amazon: Items: £17.42 (has additional VAT) - Postage & Packing: £4.49 (why this high? has been lower IIRC) - Order Total: £21.91

So, again, waiting for Eureka to open pre-orders.. hopefully soon.

If everything else goes well, I’m ordering this, Police Story and Project A tonight. I was blown away by the transfer on City Hunter, and the extras were amazing, so I can’t wait for this (and the other ones I’ll be picking up)

Thank you Eureka. Day one purchase or near as damn it.

Still only own this on VHS (p&s and dubbed ) despite it being a favourite.

I pre-ordered from Amazon. $23 seems like a good price and if it drops you get the pre-order price guarantee thing.

I found this on Youtube
that has the same interview setting, but that video doesn't have anything to do with Wheels on Meals. That Youtube video has a "The Vigilante - An Interview With Yuen Biao" title. The 2-DVD set from HKL/CineAsia has the "Born to Fight" interview, could somebody check what it actually contains?

I got interested about this and found this from teh interwebs...

Quote:
3. Hybrid Cantonese 2.0 LPCM

This one requires an explanation. The music from the original English dub is iconic and many prefer it to the music in the original Cantonese version.

So we combined the Music from the English dub with the dialog from the original Cantonese. This is an exclusive to [pirate outfit name redacted] and many fans will consider it the best of both worlds.
So... dare I say anything? Is this "New and Exclusive audio option" legitimate audio track licensed from Fortune Star?

The Eureka<->"blu-ray.com" liaison forum member still exchanging materials from and to, to a known pirate shop?

Huh? If they've got BOTH of these soundtracks licensed what's the issue!?
  • Original Cantonese audio track, available in both original mono (LPCM) and newly restored DTS-HD MA 5.1
  • Optional English audio from the film’s original international release, featuring an alternate (and much funkier) soundtrack, available in both original mono and 5.1
It's not rocket science to swap over the centre channel to create an exclusive hybrid Cantonese track.
Is this any different to adding an exclusive commentary track or an isolated score?!
