Bad 300 copy - Blu-ray Forum

Hey, i was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing problems with their version of 300 on blu ray? i've noticed while watching it that the screen is constantly blinking the brightness, in dark scenes it doesnt happen but in the light i can notice this. I'm watching it on my ps3 with a Sony bravia x series 40" with a good hdmi cable. Never happened before with other films.

I've put in other movies and havent noticed this problem so i'm assuming it's not my equipment. Well all i want to know is that if it's possible i have a bad copy of the movie and should exchange it for another?

If it seems defective return it for another one. As long as it is within the return policy period the store will replacement.

yeah i will be returning it, just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this with the same or other movies..

hopefully the nxt copy i get fixes the issue

I as, well as many others I know have experienced this problem, even with multipul discs, not sure why though.

Try it on BDP-S1 or S300 and see if you have any issues. Those machines don't miss a beat.

I have similar set-up. It all looks good to me. Try returning it, prolly just a faulty copy.

300 runs very good on my PS3 with my SXRD 50" Sony.

I have the same problems with my copy of 300, i thought it was my set up (Sony Bravia 40inch with Sony BPD s-1) and just thought something was wrong. Thanks for the heads up,I am going to return it!!!!

i had this problem until i turned off the cross color reduction setting on my PS3 and then it worked great....my RGB Full Range is on Full, and the super white setting is on....

yours 300 copy, comes only, box and disc ?
and nothing else ?

Do the Sony Bravia series have the Auto-Iris feature? I know my SXRD does. I would recommend turning that off and seeing if it makes a difference, unless you've already exchanged the disc for another one.

Well i just got a new copy of 300 still the same problem, don't know what's doing it. I checked my settings over, still nothing i can think of that would do this. I tried turning the game mode off on my tv, still didnt fix it.

Very strange indeed. Don't know what else to try.

my 300 copy is just the box and the disc and my tv doesnt have that iris feature that you've mentioned

well let me know if anyone has any feedback to this

New poster or not, i own about 12 blu-ray movies, 300 is the only one i'm having a problem with..

why is me being new or not relevent to my problem?

Complaining? I've already returned it for another copy but i guess u didnt read that part?

I don't want to read stupid comments like Why is it that New Posters have problems with BLU-RAY discs? or why complain here?

If you have nothing to say regarding the problem then don't post.
